Neevee Jaw

Neevee Jaw is from the Nunavut community of Kinngait. She is a graphic artist, print-maker and media-maker, a mother of two, cousin, aunt and grand-daughter, with a passion for the creative arts and promoting Inuit food sovereignty in her community.  Neevee is committed to building resilience in her community, particularly with regards to mental health and addictions.  She recognises the connection between mental health, food security and country food and is particularly interested in working with people, re-discovering Kinngait country food delicacies.  Neevee is Kinngait’s IFSNu Social Media Ambassador, Digital Archivist and is leading a sub-project, drawing on her artist skills in creating a country-food educational resources for children.
