Maéva Gauthier

Co-Investigator, University of Victoria

I’m a human geographer interested in using arts-based digital tools to engage youth on environmental global changes. For my PhD, I have been working with youth in Tuktoyaktuk, NWT, Canada using participatory video to share their perspectives and solutions to climate change. The trailer of their documentary “Happening to Us” can be seen here. I’m also part of the UNESCO Chair in Community-based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education where we work on the themes of open access, decolonization of knowledge, knowledge democracy, and support the next generation of community-based researchers (K4C hubs).  (Profile: https://www.uvic.ca/socialsciences/geography/graduate/directory/profiles/gauthier-maeva.php)
